Marshall Douglas
Marshall Douglas (born 22 January 1940) is a Scottish golfer from
Clarkston, near Glasgow.
Following a successful amateur
career, having won the Elie Boys Championship in 1957 and the
Eastwood Quaich in 1960, Marshall turned professional in 1962,
having attained a cap in the Scottish Youths Internationals. While
playing on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa, he wrote for the Daily
Mail, while spending the winters of 1969 to 1971 playing in South
Africa, Rhodesia, and Nigeria. He was the winner of the 1969
Nigerian Open. Marshall played in four Open Championships; 1966,
1967, 1970, and 1972.
