Douglas Archives sources
Whilst we do know the benefit of fully referencing our articles, we
confess to not being good at this aspect recording our research.
In fact, we are very poor at it. We are looking at a way of improving this, but don't advise any breath holding while it happens. As always, we recommend using the Douglas Archives as a basis for further research. If you read it here first, go and seek an original source. And remember, just because you read it on Wikipedia, or elsewhere, and here does not mean that you have corroboration. I may have written both articles, are extracted from the other one. Or they from here. Just because a book was written in 1850, or whenever, does not make that a more accurate source. They did not have the Douglas Archives to refer to!

The content of this website is a collection of materials gathered from a variety of sources, some of it unedited. The webmaster does not intend to claim authorship, but gives credit to the originators for their work. As work progresses, some of the content may be re-written and presented in a unique format, to which we would then be able to claim ownership. Discussion and contributions from those more knowledgeable is welcome. Last modified: Thursday, 23 January 2025 |
