Dr Ian Douglas

 

Dr Ian DouglasIan, BVM&S, MACVSc (Surg), MRCVS, is a graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in Edinburgh. 

Following a surgical internship at Melbourne University in the late seventies, he worked in general practice for six years and, in 1986, established Veterinary Surgical Referrals, the first referral-only practice in South Australia, managing surgical and neurological conditions in dogs and cats. 

He was admitted to the Surgical Chapter of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists following examination in 1993. Ian is a general surgeon, but he has a particular interest in the assessment and management of conditions affecting the nervous system and spine. His practice has been based at The Adelaide Veterinary Specialist and Referral Centre since the centre opened in 2000.
