Annawan - Edward L. Mariman,67, died at 7:40 last night in his home of a heart ailment. He hadbeen ill three years. Funeral services will be held, probably Monday,in Sacred Heart Catholic church here with burial in St. Anthony’sCatholic cemetery, Atkinson. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 tomorrownight in the home. Mr. Mariman was the son of Francis and BernadinaMariman. He was born March 27, 1876, in St. Marguerite, Belgium. Hecame to Annawan in 1902 and had resided here since. His wife, theformer Hortense Dumoulin of Philadelphia, died Oct. 12, 1935. He waspreceded in death by two daughters, a son, three brothers and foursisters. Survivors include six daughters, Erma at home, Mrs. CelinaStillers of Lake Village, Ind., Mrs. Margaret Esser of Chicago, Mrs.Irene DeKezel of Osco, and Mrs. Augusta DeGerengel and Mrs. ElmaRakestraw, both of Annawan; also nine grandchildren; a brother, Paul,of Osco; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Overmeyer of Belgium. The body wastaken to the Moran funeral home here.”
