  Nominally 23rd Laird of Cavers PALMER DOUGLAS James, passed away at home in Greenlaw on the 5th April, 2013, aged 90. Formerly of Cavers House. Much loved and sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral service will be held at Cavers Parish Church, Friday 19th April at 1pm. (Research):I am told that he was particular about not using a hyphen in his surname. I am not sure how this affects his offspring. Family papers sold by him are held in the National Library of Scotland
