• Notes

  Moses worked for the Erie Railroad for 48 years and retired on a pension. He may have lived in Honesdale, Wayne Co., PA In the latter years of his life, Moses lived in Narrowsburg, Sullivan Co., NY. Marie Case recalls visiting there about 1931. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Lapsansky (Minnie Dexter), following a long illness (cancer). The body was brought to the Dexter home in Scranton for viewing. Funeral services were at the Providence Methodist Episcopal Church, Rev. Mack Bain officiating. Source: newspaper obituary for Moses Dexter aquired from Minnie Dexter by Jon Case. Jon Case has a photo taken at the Fireman's Picnic at Narrowsburg, Sullivan Co., NY.
