• Notes

  Saddler left for America in 1638 Mass. with his father who died on the trip. He landed at Sciuate, Mass., and by the terms of his father's will was placed under the guardianship of Thomas Wilborne, a saddler, to learn the saddler's trade. In 1643 he moved to Duxbury and several years later, to Marshfield where he purchase and named Branch's Island.
