• Notes

  History of Gloversville has: "He was one of the pioneer leather dressers and glove makers who resided in the locality of Phelps Street. This was prior to the time of skin mills and Mr. Case milled his skins by shipping them around a post." also: "About forty years ago, Uriel, Zina and William Case were well known manufacturers in Gloversville. Uriel resided near where the Presbyterian Church is now located, and William and Zina at one time resided on South Main Street. Elihu now resides near Tribes Hill."
