DOUGLAS Thomas Gale (-1822)
Commissioned: Ensign (73rd Regiment) 6 June 1816; half-pay 25 June 1817.
Served in NSW/ VDL: No
Served in Ceylon: c.1820-1821.
Died: 10 May 1822, in Edinburgh.

Note:
•  Thomas Douglas (c1816-1836), son of Maj Gen Sir William Douglas KCH, also served in the 73rd Regiment.
•  In 1921, the regiment took part in suppressing the Uva Rebellion, losing 412 out of approximately 1,000 men.
