Terri Douglas
Terri Ventress, a Design Engineer in Oklahoma, is a Scottish Highland
Games Athlete and second time World Champion.
Born Terri Douglas,
she is married to Larry Douglas and they have children.
Terri
Douglas Ventress currently holds all World Records for the eight
Highland Games events: stones, weights, hammers, sheaf toss, weight over
bar, and caber.
She had the best Finish in the Women's World
Championship, 4th - 2000 and captured the Women's World Record in Sheaf
at 26', 2001
Masters World Championship Finishes: 2013 1st,
Albuquerque, NM - Women 50+, Also captured 4 World Records in
competition and 1 of 3 annual traveling trophies for the combined
weights for distance. 2012 1st, Greenville, SC - Women 50+, Also
captured 4 World Records and 2 of 3 annual traveling trophies for the
combined weights for distance and stones. Currently holds 8 of 8
World Records in the 50+ Women's Age Division 2010 2nd Denver, CO
Women 40+ 2008 2nd Saline, WI 2007 2nd McPherson, KS 2006 2nd
Inverness, Scotland; Highlight: 1st in Caber
Terri co-directs the
Wichita Highland Games in August and the highland games for the
McPherson Festival each September, both in Kansas, USA.
