Scotland boss Walter Smith will retain Celtic goalkeeper
Rab Douglas in his squad for the looming World Cup qualifier against Italy.
Smith was at Parkhead to witness Douglas's high-profile error in conceding
the opening goal of Rangers' 2-0 victory to Gregory Vignal, a mistake which may
have placed the 32-year-old's first-team place at Celtic in fresh jeopardy.
"I took four goalkeepers to our squad gathering in Manchester earlier
this month and, as I explained to everyone in that group, they are the ones I
will take to Italy," Smith said.
"That's what I will do. What I did think with Rab and Neil Sullivan is
that they are experienced goalies who complemented the two more inexperienced
ones we have. That's all I have said on the goalkeeping situation and that is
where it lies."
