Myrtle Beatrice Douglas, 76, of Corona, N.Y., passed away
Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at Calvary Hospital in New York.
She was born Sept. 25, 1928, the fourth born of seven
children to Henry and Helen Douglas. She attended G.W. Jackson High School
in Corsicana. She received a B.S. degree at Sam Houston College in Austin
and a master's degree in New York City. She was employed with the City of
New York as a director for social services until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Helen Douglas;
brothers, Walter (Sam), Hobart (Billy), Alvin, Theo and Clovis; and infant
sister, Hazel.
Survivors include her sister, Alice Mae Hill of Austin, and nieces,
great-nieces and nephews, cousins and a great number of friends.
