M. Laurette DouglasM. Laurette Douglas was Secretary of Mayor Fry, 1935-1944. She went into business with her brother Dan Carrigan, managing the office of their moving and storage business.

She ran unsuccessfully as Liberal candidate for Edmonton Centre in 1959 provincial election. She was an Alderman in Edmonton 1955-1960.

She is a Member of Order of St. Ann in Victoria. She was widowed, with one daughter.
