Katherine Douglas was born in Edinburgh on 3rd August 1989 and educated at Fettes College; Oxford Brookes University

At the second World Cup of the 2013 Season at Eton Dorney, Katherine raced in the women's quadruple scull finishing 4th.

Katherine's first GB international outing was in 2011 when she raced in the Women's 8 at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Amsterdam, finishing 5th.

In 2010 she won Championship Women's 4- at BUCS Regatta and Elite 4- at Henley Women's Regatta and qualified for EUSA in Amsterdam where the crew also won Gold in the coxless four

Katherine started rowing at Oxford Brookes University in 2009 in order to keep fit.

Katherine sustained an injury in 2012 which unfortunately put her out the the entire season.

Whilst at school, Katherine was a competitive runner.

Katherine is Lottery Funded through UK Sport.
