Well,
since you've come this far....
...the least I can do is tell you a little bit
about myself. I am a writer. I think I've always been a writer. It's woven
into my fabric in some inescapable manner so that it defines everything I
think or do. I'm also a wife, a mother, a VERY NEW grandmother, a fairly
decent photographer and a pretty good cook...over the course of my fifty-plus
years I've been a student, a florist, a bookkeeper, a newspaper reporter, a
cartoonist, a hostess in a winery tasting room (now THAT'S the place to find
stories!) and a teacher~~but first and foremost, I am a writer...though I must
admit, Gramma is a close second!
Now that we've got that established, and if
you're at all interested, check out my interview with Scribes
World. The interview was a unique experience ~~ the first time I ever sat
down and actually defined why and how I write.
I have a second interview, this one at MyShelf.com,
with Suzie Housley, MyShelf reviewer and columnist. Once again, the questions
help me find answers to my own questions as to why I continue in this
serendipitious business!
A third one has also gone up at ARomanceReview.com.
Boy, do I love to talk about myself!
My husband and I live in the northern California
wine country. Our son and daughter are grown and on their own~~thanks to our
daughter and son-in-law we're now grandparents of the world's most perfect
grandson~~but we once made the foolish mistake of saying, out loud, how much
we enjoyed our freedom. That's about the time Rufus tumbled into our lives, a
furry little castaway who, in a very short time, has achieved complete
dominion over our household.
He's a fairly benign despot, but Doug and I have
acknowledged we no longer live in a democracy.
I'm no longer doing as much cycling photography
as I once was and the webpage of cycling photos is currently innactive.
Writing consumes me now, something I always hoped for. It was time to get my
creative priorities in order.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Please write to
me...I'd love to hear from you.
