Hugh Douglas (Revolutionary Army), m. Catherine Nasmythe in England (his
cousin)
He was Brigadier General of the 6th Brigade of Militia, and died
about December 1815 when his successor was appointed.
He was 'called
out on 24th Augst for the defence of Washington'.
A descendant of Sir
James Douglas of Kelhead, he was the son of
Captain
William Douglas (-1783) & Elizabeth Offutt [Lewis]. He married
Catherine Nasmythe, b. Abt 1765.
