the faceted tapering rock crystal handle to a fluted mount, to a circular rock crystal matrix with the crest and motto 'Dum vivimus vivamus' of Douglas

5.5cm long, matrix:2cm diameter

Comment:
Although the crest of a winged heart is clearly that of Douglas, I have not been able to identify the motto connected to a Douglas family.'
I note that 'Dum vivimus vivamus is used by the Doddridge family, but have yet to find the Douglas connection with them.
