THE HON. ALEXANDER ARBUTHNOTT
was born 1794 in Forfar, Scotland, and died 1870 in East Gwillimbury
Township, ON. Buried Selby Burial Ground, Sharon, Ontario. He married
JEAN (or JANE) MATHER 16 December 1817 in Logie-Pert, Scotland. She
was born 1792, and died 17 August 1866 in Ontario. Buried Selby Burial
Ground. She may have been "Alexander's mother's maid". They emigrated
from Aberdeen to Port of Quebec, Canada on the brig "Patriot" arriving
1st May 1819. |
