KHQA’s
Chad Douglas hails from America’s Hometown of Hannibal,
Missouri, where he and his family were faithful KHQA watchers.
Chad is our 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. co-anchor and a reporter.
He married his wife Erica in October of 2004. In his spare time,
he likes to golf and do video projects.
Chad is also one
of our award-winning journalists. He has been recognized by the
Iowa and Missouri Associated Press for his work.
Most
recently, Chad was recognized by The Quincy Herald-Whig as one
of their 20 Under 40 in 2011.
Chad's DNA test gives a Emerson connection, but he cannot find
any Emersons in his family tree.
he says 'I did find out
through cousin John's family tree, that I have a few famous, al
beit distant relatives. Let's see ... there's Jimmy Stewart,
Audrey Hepburn, Dezi Arnez, and Lucille Ball. They can all be
traced to my great grandmother on my dad's side of the family. I
also have presidential connections. I found out I'm distantly
related to three U.S. Presidents. Millard Fillmore and both
George Bushes.'
