Ann Douglas is Canada's foremost
pregnancy writer. She is an award-winning journalist and the author of 18
books, including three bestselling guides to pregnancy: The Unofficial
Guide To having a Baby, Trying Again: A Guide to
Pregnancy After Miscarriage, Stillbirth, and Infant Loss, and The
Mother of all Pregnancy Books: An All-Canadian Guide to Conception,
Birth, and Everything In-Between.
Ann's most recent book is The Mother of all Baby Books:
An All-Canadian Guide to your Baby's First Year. She has just started
writing The Mother of all Toddler Books: An All-Canadian Guide to Your
Child's Second And Third Years. (Note: Hungry Minds, Inc., of New York
will be bringing out U.S. editions of all three titles in The Mother Of
All series in 2002/03.)
Ann is a columnist for Flare Pregnancy magazine, Today's Parent Toronto,
and numerous other parenting publications in Canada and the U.S.; and a
frequent contributor to such websites as WebMD.com and iVillage.com. Ann
recently co-hosted an online pregnancy course at WebMD that attracted 5400
students -- the most successful online course offered at this major U.S.
health web site to date.
Ann is frequently quoted in the print and broadcast media. She and her
books have been featured on Canada AM, Canadian Living Television, and in
Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Good Housekeeping, Parenting, Parents, and
Working Mother.
Ann lives in Peterborough, Ontario, with her husband and four children,
ages 4 through 13.
