Rev. William Frederic Douglas was Chaplain to Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Gloucester, and Rector of Scrayingham, York.

He was the third son of General Sir Howard Douglas (1776 - 1861) and Anne Dundas.

He married twice:
m1. (30.04.1846) Christiana Fanshawe Stopford (d 03.10.1855, daughter of Admiral Sir Robert Stopford)
m2. (16.09.1862) Louisa Harriet Blackwell (d 28.12.1913, daughter of Capt. G. Eden Blackwell)


MRS. DOUGLAS.
October 3rd, at Strayingham Rectory, Christiana F., wife of
the Rev. W. F. Douglas, and eldest daughter of the late Admi
ral the Hon. Sir Robert Stopford, by Mary, daughter of Robert
Fanshawe, Esq. She was married in 1846.

With Lady Mary Vyner, in 1869, he restored St. Helen’s chapel of ease.

He died 26th September 1874.
