The William B. Douglass lean-to shelter is one of several along the Appalachian Trail.

Dr. Christopher Swezey was a dedicated member of the Green Mountain Club who in 1926 donated materials for a shelter, originally called Buck Jb Camp.

Later, it was renamed for William B. Douglass, a volunteer trail worker in the 1950s and '60s.
