Choylin Yim Douglas, widely known as Yim Douglas, has emerged as a
significant political figure in the Solomon Islands. In April 2024, she
was elected to the National Parliament representing the Ngella
constituency as an independent member, following a previous attempt in
2019. Her political journey took a significant leap forward in May 2024
when she was appointed Minister for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Beyond her political endeavors, Yim Douglas plays a crucial role in
the family business. She serves as the finance and administration
manager of Douglas Concrete, a prominent company in the Solomon Islands
founded by Keith Douglas. Her husband, Reginald, holds the positions of
director and CEO, making the company a family affair.

And Cruz Holdings, for more than 50 years of experience in various industrial firms and involved in all kind of machineries maintenance, supervision and management gave him the idea to form the company from logging and heavy machineries supply and maintenance and expanded to Douglas Concrete, Douglas Construction and Douglas Logistic, Mr. Keith’s role is maintaining integrity and competitiveness of the company, he is approachable and accessible at any time of which has resulted in much loyalty and dedication by his subordinates. |
