In France, in 1519, Cesare Scotti has the task of collecting numerous infantry from Lautrec.
In July 1521, he is located in Piacenza. He foils a treaty arranged by the constable of the gate of San Raimondo, Tameo da Treviso, aimed at allowing Pietro Buso Scotti to enter the city, and in August with Girolamo da Trivulzio he besieges Pietro Buso Scotti in the castle of Statto. The rival manages to escape.
That September, he leaves Piacenza; heads towards Val Nure; at the river of the same name he defeats the escapees and takes numerous prisoners; many of the opponents drowned.
In April 1522, he was present at the battle of Bicocca. At the end of the fight he was initially reported missing.
He is reported as having 400 infantry in November 1524.
In November 1516, He fought in the Black Bands under the orders of Giovanni dei Medici. He remains in that company until the death of this captain. in December, he went to the defence of Piacenza following the threats made by the landsknechts.
In 1527, Cesare was sent by the Marquis Michelantonio di Saluzzo to France to King Francis I to inform the sovereign of the truce signed with the imperials by Pope Clement VII. in July, he joins Lautrec in conquering the castle of Borgo Marengo in the Italian region of Piedmont.
In October, he defends Piacenza from the raids of French soldiers in the nearby countryside, he formed a body of 1000 citizens, both Guelphs and Ghibellines. In December he has command of 600 infantry.
In 1528, Cesare follows Lautrec on his expedition to the kingdom of Naples. He is reported near Troy. he was at the siege of Naples in April. He embarked with Girolamo Castiglione and 300 arquebusiers on Filippino Doria's fleet and takes part in the naval battle of Capo d'Orso.
In August, he retreats from Naples to move to Aversa: placed in the rearguard with a corps of Tuscan arquebusiers of the Bande Nere, he is attacked and routed by the imperial cavalry.

Many of his men are sick; he also dies of the plague in August 1528.
