Captain Angus William Sholto Douglas was of the Timpendean line - Angus William Sholto Douglas born Oct 1852 was purported to hold the original grant deed for Timpendean. ― He possesses the original charter of 1479, granting Timpandean to his ancestor (The Heraldry of the Douglases by G Harvey Johnson – Edinburgh and London – December, 1906)

He was the son of Henry Sholto Douglas and nephew of Captain George Douglas, the 12th of Timpendean.

 

...take place, between Commander Angus William Sholto Douglas, Royal Navy, second son of the late Captain H. S. Douglas, of Moorlands, Bitterne, Hants, and Miss Charlotte Constance Peake (?Feake) Meyer, eldest daughter of the late Mr. Herman P. D. Meyer, J P., of Little Laver Hall, Essex.

Commander Angus William Sholto Douglas was promoted to the rank of Captain on the Retired List on 30th June 1905.
