Only son of the Rev. George Robinson-Douglas, of
Orchardton, who d. 1878, by Jane Eleanor, only dau.
of the late Boyd Miller, Esq., of Colliers AVood, Surrey ;
h. 1851 ; m. 1st 1879 Frances Mary, eldest dau. of the
late Col. William Burnett-Ramsay, of Banchory Lodge,
Kincardineshire, and by her, who d. 1881, had issue
James Hubert Francis, b. 1881 ; d. 1883 ; 2ndly 1889
Constance, dau. of Sir Thomas Proctor-Beauchamp, 4th
Bart. Mr. Robinson-Douglas, who was educated at
Ch. Ch., Oxford (B.A. 1873, M.A. 1878), is a J.P. and
D.L. for the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright. ? Orchardton,

Notes:

William Douglas Robinson-Douglas of Orchardton and Almorness (1851-1921) had no surviving children by his two marriages, and on his death his estates passed to his second wife, Constance Robinson-Douglas, who married secondly in 1926 William Jardine Herries Maxwell of Munches (died 1933), but retained for herself only the surname Douglas in addition that of Herries Maxwell. She died on 4 June 1941.

William married Frances Mary Burnett-Ramsay in 1879. Frances (daughter of Col William Burnett-Ramsay) was born before 1879; died in 1881. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

William married Constance Proctor-Beaucham on 30 Jul 1889. Constance (daughter of Thomas William B (4th Bart) Proctor-Beaucham and Caroline Esther Waldegrave, daughter of Sir Thomas (4th Bart) Proctor-Beauchamp) was born in 1858 in Marylebone, London; died on 4 Jun 1941. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
