Notes:

Donald Manter Douglas passed away on October 5, 2012 surrounded by his loving family just a few days shy of his 90th birthday. Donald was a kind and gentle soul who always liked to look his best and loved to sit in the warmth of the sun.

Donald was born on October 29, 1922 in Marion, Mass. to Percy and Agnes (Olson) Douglas of Long Pond in Plymouth. He is predeceased by his wife of over thirty years Carol Douglas who passed away in April of this year.

While in school Donald painted a picture of a World War I soldier which hung for many years in the Pilgrim Memorial Hall in Plymouth. In 1942 after graduation from school, he enlisted in the Merchant Marines to serve his country during the war and traveled to many foreign places and is recognized as a Veteran of World War II.

Donald worked for many cranberry growers in the Plymouth area. He attended Faunce Memorial Church in Plymouth and most recently the Osterville United Methodist Church.

Donald moved to live with his son in Mashpee in July of this year.

He was the father of the late Jo Ann Hardee of California. He is predeceased by his sister Barbara Bongiovannie and brother Paul.

Donald married Carol Ann Finnegan before 1982. Carol was born on 27 Sep 1943 in Bangor, Maine, USA; died on 19 Apr 2012 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA; was buried in Massachusetts, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
