I am descended from Ruth Sherwood born 1644, through Joshua Holcomb, Experience Holcomb, Hannah Alford, Abner Messenger, Edmund Messenger, Elijah Messenger, Eugenus Messenger, Mable Messenger, Alice Pingley. But anyway, I have as Ruth's parents Thomas Sherwood and Mary Fitch. I got this information from the "Paternal lineage and some of the desendants of Issac Messenger" she sights the "Paternal Ancestry of Daniel Sherwood" by Andrew
    Sherwood. It seems that other sources do not bare this out.
