Gregory, ca. 1988, noting errors in the transcript. In the journal of her first year of marriage to Colums C. Douglass, Lydia describes trips to Ill. and Wis. to meet her in-laws and her trip to and subsequent life on Isle Royale where her husband, then an employee of the Ohio and Isle Royale Mining Company, had removed to open and manage a mine and smelting operation
