Helen Lady de Mauley, who died 4 June, 2009, was the widow (& second cousin) of the 6th Lord de Mauley (cr Baron of the UK 1838). She was b 7 Oct 1921, as Helen Alice Douglas, scion of the Earls of Morton, only dau. of Hon Charles William Sholto Douglas, of Back Bridge, Malmesbury, Wiltshire (2nd son of Sholto George [Douglas], 19th Earl of Morton, by his wife Hon Helen Geraldine Ponsonby, 4th dau. of Charles Frederick Ashley Cooper [Ponsonby], 2nd Lord de Mauley; and married (i) 20 Oct 1947, Lieut Col Bryan Lynch Leslie Abdy Collins OBE MC (1913-52), by whom she had issue, Thomas Adby Collins, b 1948, and Brian James Douglas Adby Collins, b 1952; married (ii) 16 Nov 1954, Gerald John [Ponsonby], 6th Baron de Mauley (1921-2002).

Funeral Service to take place at Little Faringdon on Tuesday 23 June 2009.

Helen married Brian Leslie Lynch Abdy (Lt Col) Collins on 20 Oct 1947. Brian died on 22 Dec 1952. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Helen married Captain Gerald John (6th Baron de Mauley of Canford) Ponsonby on 16 Nov 1954. Gerald (son of Hubert William (5th Baron de Mauley of Canford) Ponsonby and Elgiva Margaret Dundas) was born on 19 Dec 1921; died on 17 Oct 2002. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
