    NOTE: Washington County, Virginia and Washington County, Tennesseeborder each other and Lee County, Virginia borders Washington County,Tennessee. From the census records, it looks as if James D. & MaryR. Crowell moved with their family to where the work for a carpentertook them. After the 1900 census, James D. Crowell could not be foundin the Virginia nor Tennessee census records. However, in the 1920census, Mary R. Crowell is living with her daughter and her family inWashington County, Tennessee.
