"Kenny MacLean, as he was known, had a hardware store in Finch. His homewas diagonally across the street from my Grandmother MacLean's house inFinch where I spent much time as a child. His wife was Eleanor Mason. She died a short time ago. Kenny was a childhood friend of my uncle,Gladstone MacLean. I recall my father, my uncle, and Kenny playingcroquet on the lawn at my Grandmother's on a warm summer evening. Goodmemories. I recall now that his mother was a 'McAuley" but 'descendedfrom the MacMillans' through her mother, a 'connection' to my Dad."
From Margaret Cameron, September 21, 2003

" My Dad never mentioned Kenny McLean as being descended from our"Camerons", and I knew Kenny from the time I was a small child, and therewas no indication from my Dad that Kenny was related through the Cameronline (He was also a friend of Kenny's). In fact, my Dad always statedthat he was not related to Kenny. If there was a relationship it had tobe through the MacMillan line, but I don't think that Mrs. McLean (HannahMcAuley)(whom I recall from when I was a child==Kenny's mother) wasrelated to my branch of MacMillans. Clifford McRae, my cousin, and Rev.Donald Neil, another cousin, were related to Kenny McLean through theMacLean line (Lochbuie/Ardgour). "
