Elton Alfred Ginn, 94, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., son of the late Glennand Lottie Mae (Rhoad) Ginn was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Appleton City,Mo. He died June 16, 2008, at the North Arkansas Life Care Center inHorseshoe Bend.
He was united in marriage to Melba Lorene Leech on May 28, 1938, atGallaton, Mo. He worked as a school teacher and was a member of theHorseshoe Bend First Baptist Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Lorene Ginn of Horseshoe Bend; a son,Roger Ginn and wife, Carol of Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, EllenLong of Rockford and Karen Corcoran and husband, Gary of Rockford; twosisters, Maxine Wiseman of Shawnee, Kan., and Glenadyne Haley ofOsawatamie, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Mark and Rick Sotor, Dana Dale,Brian Ginn, Matt Graceffa, Heather Daeger, Angela Tsiganos and ToniSmith; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives andfriends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Keith Ginn; adaughter, June Sotor; and a brother, Willis Ginn.
Funeral services were held June 5 at the Horseshoe Bend First BaptistChurch with Bro. Eric Earle officiating. Arrangements were under thedirection of Barker's Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel in HorseshoeBend. Memorials preferred to the Baptist Women of Mission."
