Richard E. Melin
Services for Richard E. Melin, 62, of 3122 44th St. Place, Moline,will be 1 p.m. Monday at Chapel of Virtues, Moline Gospel Temple.Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate. Visitation is 2 to 4 and7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary, Moline. Memorials may bemade to the church. Mr. Melin died Thursday at Moline Public Hospitalafter a brief illness. He was born in Moline where married DorothyNordstrom in 1938. Mr. Melin was a machinist at InternationalHarvester, East Moline Works for 39 years, retiring in 1974. Mr.Melin was a charter member and past deacon of the Moline GospelTemple. He was active in the choral work and Sunday school at thechurch, and a member of the former Kingsmen Quartet. Survivorsinclude the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Cline, Moline; twograndchildren, a sister, Mrs. William Dimschultz, Mount Prospect, anda brother, Robert Melin, Elgin."
