- Sir Thomas Gordon, Baronet [S. 1706], of Earlston and Afton aforesaid, 1st surv. s. and h., by 1st wife, b. 26 Oct. 1685 ; suc. to the Baronetcy, 10 Nov. 1726. He became a bankrupt and alienated, 19 Nov. 1743, "the whole lands and Baronies of Earlston and Afton." He m. firstly, 20 Jan. 1710, Anne (fortune 30,000 marks), 1st da. and coheir of William Boick, Boig, or Bote, Merchant of Glasgow, by Anne, da. of "William Cochrane, of Rochsoles, co. Lanark. She d. 18 April 1751. He m. secondly, ( — ) Gibson, Whitehaven, Spinster, by whom he had no issue. He d. of " iliack passion," 23 March 1769, aged 83, at Whitehaven. His wife survived him
