  There was an Indenture dated 28 February 1793, between Alexander Douglas, merchant in London, and Isabella Douglas, wife of Robert Houston Rae of Little Govan apparently connected with a plantation in Tobago In 1787 he bought the estate of Baads, which had been sold by Col Walter Douglas in 1720. Merchant in St Kitts Possibly inherited some of the estate of his uncle, Aretas Akers
