- (Research):Anton Douglas (1817 - 1883) , landowner Amalienau , leaseholder of New bleach and owner of Forest Garden in Metgethen , was a descendant of a Scottish family that had immigrated in the 17th century by Prussia .
The merchant and Konigsberg city councilor Carl Douglas (1774 - 1845) acquired in 1811 along with four other tenants sovereign rights on the coast of Gdansk to Glutton , the northern seats Pamarys , for the recovery of Bernstein , the Douglas until the release of the beach in 1837 used alone .
Anton Douglas (1817 - 1883), Gutsbesitzer von Amalienau, Erbpächter von Neue Bleiche und Eigentümer von Waldgarten bei Metgethen, war Nachkomme einer schottischen Familie, die im 17. Jahrhundert nach Ostpreußen eingewandert war.
Der Kaufmann und Königsberger Stadtverordnete Carl Douglas (1774 - 1845) erwarb 1811 zusammen mit vier anderen Pächtern die Hoheitsrechte an der Küste von Danzig bis Nimmersatt, der Nordsitze des Memellandes, zur Gewinnung von Bernstein, das Douglas bis zur Freigabe des Strandes 1837 allein nutzte.
