Wikipeadia: From 1810-20 the Königsberg commerce councilor Gustav Schnell purchased the various estates around Hinterhufen and united them into a single estate named after his wife, Amalie Schnell (née Gramatzki). In 1858 Amalienau was raised to the status of an estate district (Gutsbezirk) by its owner, Anton Douglas (1817-83). Douglas was married to Charlotte Warschauer and was a brother-in-law of Eduard Simson.
Ladushkin, Kaliningrad: 1816 Johann Gottlieb Jakob Theophil Nanke (1763-1835), which formerly teacher in Schirwindt was owner of the goods. Even before 1858 acquired ownership Hermann Douglas (1840-1895), the son of Koenigsberg city council Carl Douglas Carl Douglas, said Amber Regal had along the coast leased from the state. In the mid-19th century and the late classical manor house was built.
