Notes - Her father Lt-Cdr St John Harmsworth RNVR (1912-95) was the son of Vyvyan George Harmsworth (1881-1957), who was the 7th & youngest son of Alfred Harmsworth (1837-89). Of the latter's seven sons, 2 were created viscounts (Northcliffe cr 1918, ext 1922 and Rothermere cr 1919 & still extant), one a baron (Harmsworth cr 1939 & still extant) and two were made baronets (Sir Robert Leicester Harmsworth cr 1918, ext 1980 & Sir Hildebrand Aubrey Harmsworth cr 1922 & still extant). In fact, of the five, only Lord Harmsworth was not a baronet and the two viscounts each spent time in the degree of baron before being advanced to the
higher honour.
