Jonathan B. RICE was b. in Henry Co, Ky, April 30, 1790, and d. atKankakee, Ill. Dec 27, 1872. In 1810 he was united in marriage toRebecca REYNOLDS. To this union 11 children were born: William M, b.Dec 30, 1812; d. Feb 17, 1869. Jessie, b. Jan 17, 1815; d. Oct 26,1832. Elizabeth, born April 7, 1817, deceased. Washington, b. Feb 24,1819, deceased. Isaac, b. Feb 13, 1821, deceased. Jonathan B. b. March4, 1823, deceased. Jacob, b. March 9, 1825, deceased. Mary (WINELAND)b Aug 10, 1827, d. July 14, 1844. Rebecca Ann, b. March 25, 1829,deceased. Catherine, b. July 8, 1831, deceased. Jackson, b. Oct 21,1832, deceased. Sept. 26, 1833, Mrs. Rice departed from this life atthe age of 39 years, 5 months and 13 days. In 1834, Mr. Rice marriedagain. In this union 9 children were born: Andrew, b. April 20, 1835,deceased. Wallace, b. July 2, 1837. He is still living and his home isat Hillsboro. Eliza Jane, b. Oct 15, 1839, deceased. Lucinda, b. Jan14, 1843, d. Oct 8, 1860. Cass, b. Oct 4, 1844, lives in Oklahoma.Milton, b. July 26, 1847, deceased. Thomas, b. Sept 25, 1850, lives atKankakee City, IL. James Albert and Susie, b. Dec 25, 1853. The formerlives at Waldron, Ill and the latter at Momence, Ill. Sept 10, 1820,Jonathan Rice accompanied by his family, arrives from Ky, and settlednear Waveland, where he lived for a number of years. In the year 1855,he moved to Kankakee City, ILL where he lived until his death, Dec 27,1872. Rebecca, the first wife of Jonathan B. Rice, was b. April 13,1795; d. Spet 26, 1833. Susan Ann, second wife of Jonathan B. Rice wasb. Feb 18, 1812, d. May 17, 1870."
