HAZEL MARIE FARNER, 69, of Montezuma, died October 18, 1997, at herresidence. Born June 14, 1928, in Covington, she was the daughter ofGuy Blacketer and Virginia Grimes Blacketer. She attended CommunityChurch of God in Greencastle. She was preceded in death by onebrother, Guy Blacketer II. Survivors include her husband, Max Farnerwhom she married May 17, 1956; two sons, Roy Robert Mathews ofMontezuma and Charles Max Farner of Terre Haute; one daughter, DarleneMagill of Greencastle; one brother, Albert Blacketer of Danville,Ill.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Gravesideservices will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday in Oakland Cemetery withRev. Richard Clevinger officiating. Cremation is scheduled. there isno visitation.
