William James Pearson, 88, of 1420 S. Elm St. died at 7:05 a.m. Mondayin Culver Hospital. A waiter, he served in the Navy during World WarI and in the Army during World War II. A former resident of RiversideCalif., he attended school at Veedersburg and Kingman. Mr. Pearsonwas born May 22, 1900, at Kingman to James and Rebecca Elmore Pearson. Survivors include a sister Letha Pointer of Crawfordsville(IN.); andseveral nieces and nephews. Seven sisters and two brothers precededhim in death. Services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday in Powers FuneralHome with burial in Mace Community Cemetery. Friends may call twohours prior to services at the funeral home.
