Stringtown--Mr. & Mrs. Ollie Rector have been notified that their son,Don Lee Rector, former Stringtown youth, was one of the victims of theNorthwestern Airlines plane crash on Mt. Sanford, alaska, this week.He was a member of the crew, a flight mechanic, on the DC-4 plane.Mr. Rector was born Dec. 12, 1918, in Illinois and came to Indiana atan early age. He attended schools here and graduated with thePerrysville High School Class of 1936. Later he went to Chicago,where he was employed by Northwestern Airlines 10 years. Survivingare his widow and two small daughters in Minneapolis; his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Ollie Rector; a brother, Lester, and a grandmother, Mrs.Pearson, all of Stringtown."
