"Note: Gladys Farner Elkins, had always believed that this WilliamFarner of Montezuma, Indiana was a half brother to her father. so,being a half uncle of hers. I cannot find anything to prove this asthe 1870 Indiana census shows him and her father John in the householdof William and Katherine Farner (They both are listed as children)."

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 P.M. for Wm Farner,86, who passed away at the home of his son Harry, at 10 A.M. Friday.Mr. Farner was born October 10, 1868 in Parke County. A son of Wm andGrace Farner. He was married to Rosa Farner who preceded him indeath. Services were in charge of Frank Peterson and burial was inOakland Cemetery.
