ervicesfor Edward DeKezel, 79, Geneseo, are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St.Malachy’s Catholic Church, Geneseo, where he was a member. Burial isin Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday atthe Myers Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore funeral Home, Geneseo, with awake service conducted at 8:30 p.m. Memorial may be made to St.Malachy’s Building Fund or American Leukemia Society. Mr. DeKezeldied Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1993, at Hammond-Henry Hospital Extended CareUnit, Geneseo. He was born April 23, 1914, in Geneseo, the son ofCharles and Augusta Ghys DeKezel. He married Irene Mariman April 3,1937, in Annawan. He had farmed in the Munson Township and Osco areaall of his life. He retired in 1985. Survivors include the widow;daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and John Blair, Moline, Maxine andRonald Swanson, Cambridge, and Debra and Merle Muller, Sioux City,Iowa; sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark DeKezel, Geneseo, and David andChristine DeKezel, Cambridge; 14 grandchildren; 14great-grandchildren; and sisters, Clara VanDeWoestyne and DorothyNetolicky, both of Geneseo.”
