- Wallace Wright Spencer was not very old when he died. He left hiswife Mary Leoda with three small children under thirteen years of age. Mary Leoda Elkins Spencer married not too long after her husbandWallace's death due to requiring assistance in raising the threechildren. Even so, Mary Leoda was only 55 years old at her passing.That would make her children possibly in their 20's when she passed(died).

"MARY LEODA SPENCER CRAFT--ROCKVILLE TRIBUNE--ROCKVILLE,INDIANA--TUESDAY MARCH 04, 1913, BLOOMINGDALE, INDIANA, PENNSYLVANIATOWNSHIP: The community was shocked last Monday, when the word waspassed around that Mrs. Leoda Craft was dead. She was washing andabout 9:30 complained of feeling numb, and in a few minutes fell fromher chair unconscious. A physician was called, but she never regainedconsciousness and died before 2 o'clock. The funeral was heldThursday from the M.E. Church with Rev. E.M. Woodard in charge. Thebody was taken to Russellville for internment. A daughter, Mrs.Blanche Brown and her husband and a son: Lee Spencer: came fromPennsylvania and were present at her funeral."
