- Family lore says that Helen Morgan was struck by lighting and killed near her home. To date there are no newspaper or other records available to confirm that she was killed by lighting, only what was passed down through the family At any rate her son, Burley, was only three months old when she died.
This line is directly traceable to the Emperor Charlemagne through the noted Carter family of Virginia.
