5/5/1915, sailed with the 6th reinforcement of the 12th Battalion.
Embarked in Egypt for Gallipolli but became ill with dysentery before he landed.
Returned to Egypt.
Went to France with 1st Division of the AIF, where he was subsequently
killed in action. His body was never recovered.
