- John, the second son of David Boswell, junior, married Margaret Ferguson, the heiress of Knockroon, his cousin. This marriage reunited the family estate of Knockroon to the Boswells which descended to John Ferguson, Margaret's father, who had married Elizabeth Boswell, then heiress of Knockroon. John Ferguson was the son of Alexander who sold Killerran to his cousin, the ?rst baronet.
