  John Mathews Titus was born c1780 in Augusta or Botetourt County, Virginia, and died in Ray County, Missouri, where his Will was probated in 1854. He married 16 February 1809, in Madison County, Kentucky, Isabelle (Ibby) INYART (also spelled variously INYART, ENYART, ENGARD), daughter of Abraham ENYARD and Rachel SWAIN. She was born c1787 in North Carolina, and died in 1867 in Ray County, Missouri. They had ten children.
